The girl behind the blog and what she’s all about….
Heyooo! Thank you for visiting Fitness In My Pantry and for being interested in healthy and YUMMY food!
My name is Christina, and I’m a 33 year old blogger, writer, and mom of a 6 year old Shih-Tzu fur baby named Teddy.
I was inspired to create this blog not only for my passion of cooking and fitness, but for my love of healthy and nutritious food and fresh ingredients.
As someone who is half Greek and half Swedish, I grew up around Mediterranean and European influenced dishes, things like Swedish meatballs and lots and lots of lamb dishes!
However, as some of you may or may not know, that sort of food can really pack on the pounds if you’re not careful. So what’s a chick to do?
I realized that there are always healthier alternatives and ingredients that we can use to enjoy our favorite foods without compromising on the taste.
There are lots of us who spend hours in the gym, and X amounts of time staying active throughout the week, only to have it all go to waste because of the food we’re putting into our bodies.
Then there are those of us who are extremely disciplined, stay on track with our macros, yet are tired and bored of the same repetitive plain ol’ jane foods. (Yes, the struggle is real.)
Here’s the thing:
Healthy food does NOT have to be boring and bland, and the foods we enjoy CAN be just as good using healthier substitutions. Don’t believe me? I’m going to show you how, with the recipes posted throughout this blog. And I encourage you to try them out in the comfort of your own kitchen! Whether you’re trying to lose weight, stay fit, or prepping for your next fitness competition, there is something here for everyone!
Thank you for your continued support and for realizing that ‘fitness’ starts in your pantry. God Bless!
